Discerning a Monastic Vocation
Women seeking God in prayer, work and community life test their call to the Benedictine way of life, as it is lived within our community.
“Prefer nothing whatever to Christ” (Rule of St Benedict 72:11)
Inquirer
A woman who is responding to a sense of call to our life contacts our Director of Vocations. She will be invited to visit the Abbey and to stay for a short time in our Cottages. This stage is open-ended as the inquirer and Vocations’ Director discern if her call is of the Holy Spirit and to our community.
“What is more delightful than this voice of the Lord calling to us? See how the Lord in his love shows us the way of life.” (RB Prologue 19-20)
If you feel you might have a calling to our monastic way of life please feel free to get in touch with us through the contact us form, select Vocations in the topic field of the form.
